Christmas Cookies

Christmas is right around the corner. Mike has been making a lot of cookies recently to give to our friends and neighbors. Yesterday we made a bunch of Star Wars cookies and today was my turn to make some Christmas cookies.

Mike busy in the kitchen, making his sugar cookie dough. His muscly arms are very useful in the kitchen, too.

This morning Adeline made her first cookies ever in her life.

She was excited to use cute Christmas cookie cutters.

She chose the star cookie cutter for her first cookie.

She was so excited to see her star cookie and almost ate it before we put it in the oven.

She was a good helper and helped Mike roll out the dough.

She tried the Christmas tree shape.

After 10 minutes in the oven, she got her fist star cookie! She was so proud!

I made royal icing for the first time and had so much fun icing the cookies!! They don't look professional at all but I am still proud of it. Since we didn't have the right tools, we just used normal spoons and knives to paint the cookies.

They look pretty cute, right?

With leftover, I made an "A" cookie for Addie. She loved it!
