Adeline's First International Trip - Part 2 - Aquarium

Adeline and I went to the newly remodeled aquarium in Sunshine, Ikebukuro, with Adeline's grandma whom she calls "Basshie". We think that "Basshie" came from the word "oba-chan" in Japanese. Anyways, this is the same aquarium that I went for the first time when I was Addie's age. I prefer an aquarium over zoo personally and this was a fun visit for me. I probably did enjoy it more than Addie did since she was distracted by other children around her.

Adeline wanted sit in the very front row to see the fish. But you can tell that she was also very curious about kids next to her.

There was a lot of fish, as you can see.

Finally, there is actually a picture of her looking at the fish. It was really cute to see her point at sharks and manta rays when they came close to us.

Ocean sunfish. It was really big and Addie did not like it very much. I tried to let her get close to it but she was too scared.

On the other hand, she did like the jellyfish. She kept saying "This! This!"

We also got to see a little show with sea lions. She seemed to be watching it a little but I think she liked the clapping and whistling from the audience more than the show itself.

Turtles. She liked them because she knew how to say "turtle" in her own way.

As a parent, I was really curious about how she would react to all these different kinds of fish because we had never even been to the zoo that's only 5 minutes away from our place. We had been to Petco a few times but that is it. I hope it was an exciting experience for her and stimulated her growing mind.

I love this picture because it's so colorful and interesting. I hope Adeline will learn about many beautiful creations in the world that she lives in.
